Reflections about True Beauty Part 1

Meek spirit
(English version)
Reflections About the True Beauty

«Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair,
and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden
man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek
and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.»
(1Peter
3:3,4).

A beauty always attracts our attention. People tend to like beautiful things: nature, beautiful objects, art… Beautiful people attract our attention to a much greater degree. We like to be around beautiful people, talk with them and have a relationship. It is wonderful to realize that the person is beautiful not only based on the looks, but has a beautiful soul. What happens if this is not true? As a result of the dissonance between the external beauty and the internal unattractiveness, we get disappointed.

These reflections form a question:
What is the real, true beauty? What comprises a really beautiful person? How can I become a beautiful person?

Internal Beauty
It is obvious that there is a direct relationship between the internal and external beauty. The internal beautiful peace and quiet influences the external, visible beauty in a miraculous way. How can one find out the internal state of being of another person? First of all, start a spiritual conversation with this person. The Bible says: “…for out the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” (Matthew 12:34)
Therefore, let us begin by talking about an internal, spiritual beauty.
«…let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.» Apostle Peter directs these words at the women. It is evident here that the true internal beauty is the meek and quiet spirit. Let us turn to the Word of God, so we can better understand what is a meek and quiet spirit.
Meekness is the ability to forgive.

Moses was the meekest person on the whole Earth. (Numbers 12:13) The definition of the meekness is taken from the close study of Moses’ character. Moses was subjected to many accusations from his nation. Nevertheless, he prays to God, so He can forgive them and save his nation. To have a meek spirit means to make the grievance as short as possible. In other words, to be meek is to be able to forgive others easily and naturally. To be meek is to have an internal beauty. If a person does not forgive others easily, he or she is not beautiful.
Meekness is the ability to take on the faults of other people for the sake of piece. Abigail was a beautiful woman, wife of an evil man Nabal. She has taken on the fault of her husband and by doing that has saved her whole estate from the tragic death. If you have taken on the fault of another person for the sake of piece, you are beautiful.
Quiet spirit is a wise spirit. Соломон говорит: «He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding hodeth his peace.» (Prov. 11:12).
Quiet spirit is the spirit that allows to be an attentive listener. A person, who has quiet spirit «.., let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:..» (Jas. 1:19). There is definitely a lack of attentive listeners in this world. If you are able to listen to other people, then you are beautiful.

Meek Spirit is the Spirit of Quiet and Piece
The brightest example of the meek spirit is Jesus Christ, when he was questioned by Pilat. Jesus was full of piece and quiet even during the toughest circumstances. He was quiet and did not say anything, while taking on the sin of the human nation. As you have noticed the meek spirit is very similar to the quiet spirit. You are beautiful, when you forgive the sins of other people
In conclusion, meekness and quiet spirit are the essential qualities of
a beautiful person.
These qualities may be present in a person’s life only through the constant relationship with the Word of God.
